Since moving to Vegas we've been having a lot of fun exploring our new town. This weekend we decided to hit up a new breakfast spot and do some exploring. Vegas has a bad reputation for not kid friendly but I find that to be entirely false! Just because the city is known for the Las Vegas strip, there are so many places in town that offer great family entertainment! When visiting Vegas,
here a few great spots that I've found to entertain those kiddos!
STAY:
Red Rock Hotel and Casino - Located just off the 215 and 5 miles away from the scenic Red Rock Mountains, this hotel offers a super laid back atmosphere in a clean and modern environment.
Conveniently located near great shopping ( Downtown Summerlin), great restaurants, and some gorgeous hiking trails, the Red Rock Hotel is a great alternative to beating the hustle and bustle of downtown Las Vegas Casinos. Start planning your vacation by booking your rooms here!

EAT:
- HASH HOUSE A GO GO - An awesome breakfast spot offering huge portions at a low cost. Super casual atmosphere with a great menu selection for even the pickiest of your eaters! TIP: Come bright and early because the line tends to form around the block!
- MONTA RAMEN - Sweater weather got you freezing up? Japanese ramen is sure to thaw you out. Monta is a great spot for authentic homemade ramen that offers a variety of toppings and different flavors for everyone. TIP: This spot is small so they fill up fast. Avoid the rush and come after lunch.
- ECHO & RIG - Whether it's a 3lb steak or a filet mignon you're craving, this place has it all. Offering amazing aged steak and wine with a waitstaff that is world class. This has become one of our favorite datenight spots for my husband and me.
DO:
- NEON SIGN MUSEUM - A cool place to take the kids to see the historic neon signs of Las Vegas. TIP: Tours book up fast so plan ahead!
- RED ROCK MOUNTAINS - Nestled to the west of Las Vegas, Red Rock Mountains offer gorgeous scenery and mild trails that everyone can enjoy!
- HOOVER DAM - This historic landmark is located just 40 minutes north of the Strip and offers tons for families to see and do.
- TOWN SQUARE MALL - A great outdoor mall located just a few miles south of the strip. This family oriented mall offers a ton of great shops, restaurants, and not to mention an awesome outdoor lawn and playground with splash park that will sure to keep the kids happy!
- DISCOVERY CHILDREN'S MUSEUM - The tri-level museum that is packed with tons of great activities for the young and old alike. This awesome museum offers a place for the kids run and learn while inviting parents to let loose and tap into their inner child too!
I hope you found this guide helpful when planning your next family vacation to Vegas!
